Convatec me+ Companion™ App offers support for millions of intermittent catheter users
New free app offers users a practical tool to ensure their cathing journey starts smoothly
Bridgewater, N.J., US, 1 August 2024 — Convatec, a leading medical products and technologies company, has launched a free digital app in the United States to support new intermittent catheter users and their healthcare professionals. Through our Convatec me+ Companion™ App, users can conveniently log beverage intake and urine output on their mobile device, set hydration goals, log leaks, and even create customised summary reports to download, print, and share. The app also offers access to Convatec Continence Care’s me+ support program, providing users with educational tools, resources, and support at their fingertips. We plan to expand the app to other markets in 2025.
Seth Segel, President & Chief Operating Officer, Continence Care & Home Services Group at Convatec, said: “New catheter users can be overwhelmed by changes in their lives. Often, they have basic questions and anxiety about fluid consumption patterns and their cathing frequency and efficacy. Similarly, their clinicians have asked for quick insights to help their patients ease into their new lifestyle effectively and smoothly. Having worked directly with end-users and healthcare professionals, we are excited to offer the Convatec me+ Companion app to solve these pain points for both audiences. This resource is just another example of how Convatec brings to life its forever caring promise with real-world solutions.”
Proper hydration is a key factor in preventing and managing conditions like Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), kidney stones, and dehydration-related complications. The me+ Companion™ app is designed to offer a confidential, simple solution for both consumers and HCP’s. The app is now available to download and use from the App Store, or on Google Play.
